Though summer is not officially over, Labor Day ALWAYS signals how close it is to being over and I try my hardest not to let that sadness creep into my mood over the long weekend, and instead, enjoy the shit out of it instead. I have a few other posts in mind this week, but after reading one of my bestie’s post on summer, I just had to throw down some of my favorite moments of this summer, ode-to-summer style.
It ain’t over till it’s over people, enjoy the shit out of every last warm, summery day. I sure as hell plan to
An epic bloggy meet-up in June to kick the summer into high gear!
Assuming the position…dockside (with bloggy friends!)
Twister. Genius game for pure laughter and fun (played many times this summer!)
Summery snacks, garden-fresh, perfection.
Sweaty sister runs (and many many with M!), how I love thee.
Summer bucket list item – CHECK!
Funny boys…lots of photo bombs and picture taking ‘fake-outs’
Wine, wine and uh, more wine?
Lots of niece time, niece pics and soon enough, her SECOND birthday!
*more* dockside fun. <3
b9 love…picture taking fun at the beach this weekend (for a contest at the studio!). so so fun!
A trip to wine country that will never be forgotten…perhaps another in our (near?) future? Must.
Wine tasting fun, and a photo bomb from my brother in law
Group picture at one of our favorite wineries, Field Stone. <3!
The most breathtaking sunset on the lake that I’ve ever seen.
Capturing some moments from summer this weekend, complete with laying in the grass, watching the stars (summer bucket list item, check!) and gorgeous blue moon with besties!
Summer. Is. Bliss. And it’s not over yet. *holding on for dear life*
I'm 33. I’m divorced (almost four years later…it no longer defines me, but I hold it proudly as a sign of strength, determination and new beginnings). I’m a runner. A barre (n9ne) instructor/geek/devotee. A sister. A lover (to M…a man I met at just the right time in my journey and is truly the man handpicked for me, the man I’m meant to be with…forever).
Join me on my journey, as it unfolds, sharing my thoughts on all things life, from running (a half marathon dabbler and ‘never say never’ attitude towards races), to my experience as an instructor at barre n9ne (my passion and addiction!) and healthy and fit lifestyle of choice, to choosing happiness and keeping perspective on life. This is also my haven to (sometimes) share my experiences in love, and where that journey takes us, 2+ years strong…and anything else that inspires me to push, sweat, and smile.

Looks like you’ve had an amazing summer! I am kind of torn about it…I LOVE fall, but I don’t know that I’m ready for the summer to be over. I’ve really enjoyed the lake with my guys this summer and I don’t know that I want it to be over quite yet…
I love love love all these pictures. Whenever I see you post something on Instagram of FB, it totally puts a smile on my face. You all have lived the shit out of this summer and I love it. And by the humidity outside today suggests, summer is not over yet!
We HAVE lived the shit out of it! You have to! I love instagram for little glitters of happiness throughout the day! It’s the best! And no, it’s NOT over!
I seriously LOVE this. It looks like you’ve had an amazing, memorable one. <3 I need to vacation with you girls. Seriously.
PS: Is it stalkerish to absolutely LOVVVVEEEEEE the barre n9ne photos??? I love photography, professional or not, and those photos say SO much about you guys.
I love this so much! what a fun-filled summer with lots of awesome workouts, wine and water! this makes me want to post a summer recap so I can reflect and remember our 1st summer in NYC. as much as I LOVE summer, I’m pretty stoked about fall! (minus the getting dark so much earlier…)

Love it! Love the pics documenting it all. I can’t believe it was just a few months ago that we saw each other. Seems like a lifetime!

I LOVE fall too, but HATE that it comes so close after summer, if that makes sense. I will embrace it when it comes but for now, summer summer summer!
